About Soccer Saturday, presented by Indy Eleven

Since March 2014, Indy Eleven and ESPN 107.5 & 1070 The Fan have teamed up to bring the Hoosier State's first show devoted entirely to the world's most popular sport - Soccer Saturday, presented by Indy Eleven - to the radio airwaves. Every Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. ET, veteran Indy area broadcaster Greg Rakestraw guides listeners through the best 60 minutes of soccer talk around. 

Notable guests on the show have included international personalities such as FC Kohn (German Bundesliga) President Werner Spinner and NBC Sports' lead play-by-play broadcaster Arlo White, domestic soccer stalwarts like NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson and ex-USMNT superstar Landon Donovan, and the best connections to Hoosier State soccer including Women's World Cup champ Lauren Holiday and MLS Cup champion Matt Besler.

In addition, each week's show will include at least one voice from the world of Indy Eleven and often features analysis from the sports' best pundits such as Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl and FOX Sports' Alexi Lalas. 

A two-decade-plus veteran of Indianapolis radio, Rakestraw not only serves as Communications Director for 107.5 and 1070 The Fan, but has served as the play-by-play voice of Indy Eleven on WISH-TV since the team's inaugural 2014 season, giving him an unqualified perch to gloss over the beautiful game from every Saturday.
