Media Game Notes:

Indy Eleven's Last Time Out – Miami FC 2 : 1 Indy Eleven

The "Boys in Blue" dropped their second straight road contest of 2016 when they fell 2-1 to Miami FC at FIU Stadium.

Coach Hankinson's side conceded in the opening four minutes of the match when Dario Cvitanich broke the deadlock beating Eleven 'keeper Keith Cardona, and that set the tone for the rest of the evening. Though Indy would have a marginal amount of chances, included one that grazed off the head of forward Justin Braun, they were unable to find a first half equalizer and went into the break down 1-0.

Around the hour mark in the second half, midfielder Don Smart was injected into the match and provided a bit of a spark that "Indiana's Team" appeared desperate for. However, it was Miami FC who would strike once more from their own substitute as midfielder Ariel Martinez marched down the right hand side and found space to beat Cardona for a 2-0 lead. Not without drama, Indy would tack on a goal just before the seven minutes of stoppage time when Smart picked out forward Eamon Zayed, who lashed an effort just over the goalline despite Miami's attempt at a last ditch clearance.

The goal would not be enough, though, and Indy would suffer their second loss of the Fall Season dropping them to fifth in the fall table, third in the combined standings.

Jacksonville Armada FC's Last Time Out - Ft. Lauderdale Strikers 1 : 0 Jacksonville Armada FC

Jacksonville Armada FC are also coming off of a road loss at the home of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in heartbreaking fashion.

Armada FC 'keeper Sean Lewis made nine saves on the night, helping to keep his team in the match throughout despite the loss. Five first half efforts from the Strikers were saved, as were four to follow in the second half, but Lewis was unable to keep the opposition off the scoresheet for the entirety of the match. Though dominated on the shot charts, Jacksonville was just two minutes plus stoppage away from stealing a valuable road point before Maicon Santos hit the back of the net in the 88th minute to spoil the away side's party.

The loss dropped Armada FC to the bottom of the table in the Fall Season and to 11th in the combined table.

Midweek Matches Friendly So Far

Indy Eleven have only played one midweek contest so far in the 2016 season, and the passed the test with flying colors. After an extensive rain delay that increased the difficulty of conditions at Carroll Stadium, "Indiana's Team" knocked off the Fort Lauderdale Strikers three-nil, finding all three goals in the opening half hour.

Though the sample size is small, Indy will be hoping for the same result (without the delay) when welcoming Jacksonville Armada FC to "The Mike" this Wednesday night.

Who to Watch, Indy Eleven edition: FW Justin Braun

Pressure has been piling on the Indy Eleven forwards by head coach Tim Hankinson after scoring just four goals in five matches outside of the three they put past the Fort Lauderdale Strikers following an extended rain delay, and few are feeling it more than one of Indy's regular starters in Justin Braun.

The American has not featured on the scoresheet since the Spring Season finale against Carolina, but has put himself in excellent scoring position on multiple occasions just failing to convert the chance. One of the biggest workhorses on the squad, expect Braun to break his scoring duck if a chance falls his way in this midweek clash.

Who to Watch, Jacksonville Armada FC edition: FW Jemal Johnson

Having been shut out in their last four matches, Jacksonville Armada FC is much need of goals and forward Jemal Johnson might be the man to do it.

Johnson scored a few weeks back in their only win of the Fall Season so far, a 2-1 win over Puerto Rico FC, and also recorded an assist in the same match. A former Premier League player, Johnson has featured 11 times for Armada FC including eight starts, and may well be included in the teamsheet against Indy on Wednesday.

If fortunes are to turn around for the visiting side, Johnson will have to be heavily involved in the attacking build-up as his team search for their first win in almost a month.

Match-up to Mark:

FW Eamon Zayed/Justin Braun vs. DF Tyler Ruthven/Mechack Jerome

As Jacksonville seek to improve their attack on Wednesday, the defense will also have their hands full going up against Eamon Zayed and Justin Braun. In last week's loss at Miami FC, Zayed became the club's all-time leading goalscorer (8) and is brimming with confidence ahead of this encounter. And while Braun has not scored in recent weeks, his extra work at the end of training sessions combined with his natural ability to put himself in scoring positions will lead to more opportunities. The tandem will be looking to link up once again as Coach Hankinson continues to place his trust in the forwards.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville has deployed a steady defensive partnership of Tyler Ruthven and Mechack Jerome, with the latter returning to the lineup in last week's loss at Fort Lauderdale. Ruthven is the only member of the team to have played (and started) all 16 matches so far, but Jerome has featured 11 times meaning experience is something not lacking for the duo. After conceding just four goals in the last three weeks, the visiting side will have to limit Indy's scoring chances as they look to break the Spring Season champion's unbeaten run at Carroll Stadium.
